All child care providers must be trained in disease prevention methods to ensure healthy environments for the children and themselves.

Learning Objectives:

  • RECALL common illnesses prevalent in a child care environment.
  • RECALL signs and symptoms displayed by an ill child.
  • RECALL methods for prevention of disease transmission.
  • RECALL proper hand-washing procedures.

This is a self-paced course that and can be saved and resumed during any point. Assessment question and answer sessions during the course monitor the students’ progress, and support the student’s progression, and learning objectives. There is a test at the end of each course. The questions on the test are completely based on the materials covered in the specific course. The student must get 70% or better to pass the test. If 70% is not achieved, then the training system automatically takes the student back through the course to review the materials that were missed on the test. The student is then returned to the test to try again for a second attempt if needed.

  1. I enjoy what I read, I will apply this to my daily routine 5 Star Review

Posted by on 10th Apr 2014

I learned many types of illnesses that could affect individuals daily with out even being aware of the outcome. Wearing gloves and washing hands frequently after every meal time, changing diapers and transitioning from different activities would be so important. Airborne is all around us daily, but using the techniques that are provided to use daily I believe would help preventing more illnesses through out the year.
